Make Resource Editing Easier and Faster: Automate
Your Repetitive Tasks.
Resource Tuner Console is a CLI tool that enables developers to automate editing of resources in Windows executables.
This command-line resource editor allows using VBScript to create a repeatable process for updating and customizing resources
during the final stage of the build process, or at any time you wish to make modifications of file version information on existing
Windows 32 and 64-bit EXE or DLL files without needing to recompile the source code.
Possessing a deep understanding of the PE file format, RTC combines a robust resource editor with intelligent script capabilities. This lets you perform many post-build steps to add, replace, or delete icons and various string resources.

Resource Tuner Console is a good choice for automating editing of resources because it is well suited for integrating into any
build system, it does not require manual opening files, and it is not limited in parameters you can use in the command line.
If you need to update existing resources, or add new ones for several hundred files, you are more than likely going to want some
way to implement this with a batch file. Whenever large numbers of files have to be processed or to be accessible through scripting,
you need Resource Tuner Console. Use RTC special procedures to copy existing resources, convert resource languages, or export and save
an entire file's resources as a resource DLL.

Why Scripting?
Scripting is the only flexible way to let you access and edit a wide range of different
resource types in large numbers of executable files. It also allows you to reuse the
same subroutines or functions many times in different situations. Sample scripts illustrated
the editing features can be found within the Resource Tuner Console package. They
provide real-world examples demonstrating many of the features available in Resource
Tuner Console, and make it a breeze to setup and get running. It may be helpful to
use these sample scripts as a template for your own scripts. Show me some examples...
What You Can Do with Resource Tuner Console:
Add, delete,

of file version information on existing Windows EXE or DLL files. While these files
already contain a Version Info resource (embedded into the executable during linking),
Resource Tuner Console enables you to automatically stamp their version during the
release process to insure consistency. Resource Tuner Console also enables you to
add versioning to files that contain no resources at all. Read more...

Modify particular values for some fields in the PE32 file structure

the language of some resources may differ. Or you need to change the TimeDate Stamp and set every field in the PE file header, export and resource sections to the adjusted TimeDate Stamp. All these and many other tasks can be done with RTC by having it working with a simple script. Read more...
